Previous Engagements
BibleTech 2010 – San Jose, CA – March 26-27, 2010

I will be leading a session on the Digital Disciples network that God led me to start just over a year ago. We now have individuals gathering (in person) in four different cities, and interest growing in over twenty cities (including a few internationally now). I’m looking forward to the discussion with the individuals for sure!

Apple Headquarters – Cupertino, CA – March 25, 2010

An online friend of mine works at Apple Headquarters, and a few years ago he asked me to remind him if I am ever in town. BibleTech 2010 just happens to be 10 miles away (in San Jose, CA), so I informed him I’d be in the area. I will be gathering with a group of Christ-followers that work there, and sharing mostly about the Digital Disciples network and the first three years of the God’s Mac Podcast. Obviously Apple has been instrumental to the success of that (and my design career – and most of how I do what I do, LOL).

Grace College Art Club – Winona Lake, IN – March 1, 2010

I have the privilege of returning to my alma mater and sharing my experience (since graduating in 1999) with other graphic design students. I will be focusing on web design using the WordPress platform. I can still remember alumni coming in to share with us while I attended Grace, and I’m happy to have the opportunity to return the favor.

Cultivate – Chicago, IL – October 27, 2009

I will be facilitating a discussion on the Digital Disciples ministry. Challenging each Christ-follower who uses technology to engage with their communities, share from their experience at no cost, but more importantly proclaim the gospel cleary.

It is said the collective wisdom of a group is more valuable than the expertise of one. Cultivate is a collective wisdom. It brings ministry and marketplace leaders to the table and asks them to leave their formal presentations at home.

Cultivate is about bringing you together with the skilled, the experienced, and the insightful, and together you will drive the content. Together you will discover breakthrough insights. Expect to be stretched. Expect to be challenged. Expect to culivate a new way of thinking.

Equip09 – Columbus, OH – July 26-31, 2009

This conference is the annual conference of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. Equip09 is a continuing education opportunity for the whole family. They have classes for all ages, all genders, for novices and for the highly experienced. It will help you impact future leaders for the Kingdom.

I will be leading 4 daily sessions for 5 hours per day on podcasting and web / blog design for churches and individuals, as well as incorporating thoughts behind the Digital Disciples ministry God’s allowed me to launch.

PodCamp Ohio 2 – Columbus, OH – June 20, 2009

I’m always excited to interact with local technology enthusiasts and experts in person. I will be leading a session and sharing what God is doing through our local Digital Disciples gatherings, welcoming anyone to join us and hopefully allow them to benefit from everything we experience on a monthly basis. Creating relationships is primary, and I appreciate this being a free opportunity to meet new people!

PodCamp Ohio is the media community UnConference that helps connect people interested in blogging, social networks, podcasting and new media to learn, share, and grow their new media skills. PodCamp Ohio is structured with everyone in mind. Each session time segment provides 5-7 concurrent sessions for guests to pick from. There are a number of sessions that will be organized as ‘tracks’ for those who are new to blogging and podcasting.

Real World University – Dayton, OH – April 3, 2009

This conference has a mission to help students succeed in college and in life by helping them identify and pursue their purpose, strengthen their character, overcome life’s obstacles, and maximize their potential. RWU addresses some of the toughest challenges facing college students today by sharing proven strategies, solutions, and advice from some of the country’s leading educators, authors, speakers, and college graduates.

I will be sharing how God has allowed me to work from home, assisting ministries across the world with web and graphic design services.

BibleTech 2009 – Seattle, WA – March 27-28, 2009

This two-day conference is designed for publishers, programmers, webmasters, educators, bloggers and anyone interested in using technology to improve Bible study. BibleTech 2009 is an opportunity to meet others who share your interests and hear from industry leaders. Sponsored and hosted by Logos Bible Software.

I will be leading a session on “Becoming a Digital Disciple”. Focusing on the need for individuals to connect offline by allowing an online connection to facilitate and even empower disciples and new friendships.

the sticks – Harrison, AR – March 17, 2009

the sticks is a gathering where revival meets relevance. It is a gathering to inspire and equip pastors in small to medium towns to make a big impact for the Kingdom!

I will be leading a session on Social Networking. There’s no question that Twitter and Facebook have changed the web these past few years. We’re continually challenged to not waste a ton of pointless time on the web, creating real and new friendships, being humble, and sharing how Christ is changing each of our lives.
