Examples as children

I have to take this blog and give some credit to our two older daughters. Most of the time as parents you are teaching your kids things, but there comes a time every now and then when you can just sit back and learn something from them. Last night was one of those times. I was most definitely sitting in the chair and enjoying the foot wiping / massaging, but I also had to wonder if I’d be willing to be on the giving end with someone else. A little hesitant, but willing enough to take on humility and consider someone else more important. Christ gives us a great example of the same thing – http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=%20John%2013:4-14.

Livi has had a few practice with her team and a scrimmage this Wednesday, lol. We’re still trying to get Ava on a team this week. Don’t ever think that the people who run these leagues are dependable, lol. Everyone messes up every now and then, but not listing a phone number on the league website and only using email for communication proves technology sometimes screws things up. Sometimes you need someone to talk to, lol! At least the girls look stinkin cute in their new gear……it was interesting taking them out and finding the right fit by myself. Hope all is well!!!

  1. They do look “stinkin cute” in their soccer garb…. how neat !  I want to say it reminds me of the picture of you and Tug in front of the Amherst House…ok, I said it… let me know about Thurs. !
