I have to give credit to my soon-to-be brother-in-law (Daniel) for this blog. He was over at our house Friday night and helped me find a car on the internet from a wholesale dealer in Columbus. The next morning he was in Columbus garage sale shopping with his fiance (Marla’s sister) and they both stopped in to see a different Audi at the dealer, but saw this one and called me while test driving it. We were all headed down there in the van and when we arrived I could tell why he chose this one over the other.
It’s a 1996 Audi A6 Quattro with 123,000 miles on it (which isn’t too bad at all) and it does need some “used car maintenance”. He suggested that I take it to a local shop and have them check it out in an hour – giving me a list of things that might need fixed soon. We used that as leverage and talked them down another $500. The girls and I took a fun drive in it today and cranked up the Bose stereo system on some hilly roads – they giggled quite a bit. They also helped me wash it this afternoon! Thanks to God for bringing us to the dealer and allowing Daniel to find this vehicle for me to drive to work now. Thanks Daniel (and Stephanie) for giving up your afternoon and helping us out! We’ll get you back soon!
