Story Chicago – October 2009

storyI love to tell the story. If you’ve followed my blog for long at all, you know that there’s only one story that I believe NEEDS to be told. The story of what Christ did for you and I through the cross and resurrection. It’s the only story that has changed the entire world. The book that was written to explain it to us is THE best-seller of all-time. If you haven’t heard it yet, you’re definitely missing out. For those who have a passion for sharing it, here’s an opportunity to learn from those that tell it best!

Story Chicago will be taking place on October 28th and 29th, and will include great storytellers like Ed Young, Donald Miller, and Dave Gibbons. Definitely looks like a great opportunity to hear the story told well, and continue to re-shape the way you might be telling it. The story will never change, that’s for sure! I’ll be straight. I’m definitely going the day before to be a part of (good chance I’ll be sharing) the Cultivate Conference, but will see if attending the Story conference ends up working out for me. I appreciate seeing individuals like Ben Arment (this is his brainchild) who see the need to focus on the story. We sure can get lost in so many other aspect of doing what we do, ministry or not, that the focus fades. Maybe I’ll see you in Chicago? Be sure to follow @StoryChicago on Twitter for updates as well.

PRAYING for those whose “job” it is to tell the story. PRAISING God for stirring up this event, and for creating the greatest story ever told.
