I was sitting at my desk this morning, trying to think of a way for the girls to really understand the meaning of Easter – each of the three days. There’s always speculation about things – including if we celebrate Christ’s death on the wrong day (compared to the day he was crucified – due to all of the calendar and astronomical stuff). I think that there’s more of a need to come to grips with the reality of what happened, instead of all of that or the silly wabbit that has plenty of tricks. I decided that building a small cross and having the girls nail their names to it might be one way they could understand how Christ died for them specifically. We’ll be able to take their names off of the cross in three days…….maybe that will help us all understand more of how our names are no longer suffering on the cross with Him. It should be fun pulling our names off and celebrating His resurrection.
