This month (definitely the past week) has been insane. Many things have added to the insanity. Converting 6+ blogs to WordPress, increased activity and time working with the church staff, getting back up to speed after the holidays, a large (hush hush) project that I am about to announce, Digital Disciples gatherings starting up, and so on. The image I’ve used in the blog today is the Preferences icon for the Mac. It’s where you go when you want to adjust or see how the guts of your computer is running. If things aren’t working well, that’s the first place you look. It’s also the last place you look if you’re too busy to worry about all of the little odds and ends. Sometimes you’re moving along and you don’t realize your computer has actually slowed down!
Two things really play a big part in my life moving along smoothly. Personal study of God’s Word and running. To be honest, there are times I let the two slip by for too long. I need to get back to doing both of these as my daily routine. Missing a few days here and there really isn’t acceptable for either. We understand in 2 Peter 3:9 that “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” He doesn’t want us to go for too long without walking with Him, but He’s patient at the same time. What are some ways that you keep your gears running smoothly? Do you get frustrated with life like I do, and don’t realize that you’ve passed on the necessities?
PRAYING for my wife. She’s having very bad headaches / pains. PRAISING God for every day I get to spend with those He’s allowed me to. Right now is a precious moment. I’m glad you’re sharing it with me here.
